No. 11 of 9 (Anchor Activity) Staying Highly Connected with Twitter

Let me start with what I think is wrong with Twitter, or not necessarily Twitter but media coverage of Twitter. Seems like over the past year all we see is different famous people tweeting random junk about their lives and making headlines. Yes, this is all brought to you by Twitter but I must say this is the least of what it can do.

Start by thinking of not tweeting at all. Possibly the biggest power in Twitter is following people we can learn from. Think of the great writers in your professional journals, or the person who left you speechless at a conference-you could follow them on a day to day basis and continue your learning. Check out this link for instructions for getting started. Also, find Twitter in the classroom resources here and here. Someday you may be followed, but for now take the time to learn from this modern day oracle.
